Welcome back to the shadows.

Episode 10 finds the Etch Cast crew wandering through the cinematic labyrinth they’ve been navigating all year. This time, Philip Gelatt is joined by longtime Etch collaborator Morgan Galen King and special guest Joe Dwyer, writer, film obsessive, and curator of the wonderfully unhinged Left Hand Path Substack.

For months, the trio has been spelunking through cinema’s strangest corners, logging every discovery — beautiful, bizarre, grimy, transcendent, and yes, occasionally Whoopi Goldberg-y — onto their shared Letterboxd list, “2025 Dwyer/Gelatt Watches.”

What began as an innocent habit of double features steadily mutated into something far more… experimental. The list grew into a cinematic endurance diary: the movies they survived, celebrated, regretted, or stared at in bewilderment. Episode 10 is their chance to sift through the madness and reveal the films that clung to their brains.

It’s an episode rich with strange delights, questionable taste, fiercely defended favorites, and double-feature pairings no one asked for, but you’ll probably end up watching anyway.

Your queue is about to get weirder. Exactly as it should be.
